Thanks for finding me. My name is Jim Walter and I’ve been blogging about food for a couple of years now, first as the voice behind the now basically defunct Madfoods website, which was a brilliant concept that was left to wither and die on the vine by my successor, and now as a relative newcomer to the High Plains and Front Range of the Rockies.
Our family moved to Cheyenne in the summer of 2013 and are now exploring a whole new world of restaurants, breweries and food up and down the front range. I hunt, fish and camp so as I prepare my harvest or pitch my tent, you’ll find information about that too.
I’m still keeping an eye on the things happening back in Madison County, NY so we probably will sprinkle some of that news in here too, as I strongly believe it is one of the most underrated culinary hotspots in the Northeast, and no one else is paying any attention to it.
It is my goal to seek out the places, flavors and voices of the culinary scene from basically Colorado Springs to Cheyenne. Of course we will stray from that, and you will see a Cheyenne and Fort Collins bent to this blog, but come along with me as I explore a whole new culinary world.
One final note, the views expressed in this blog are mine and do not necessarily represent the views of my employer, Visit Cheyenne.
